This film portrays a spiritual journey of the Ukrainians in Kyiv region living through a common trauma of the Russian invasion. This story is about people who know what it’s like to stare the enemy in the eyes, feel the pain, yet maintain hope and determination for victory.
On February 24, 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine, marking a major escalation of Russia’s War on Ukraine, which began in 2014 following the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity with Annexation of Crimea and the start of the military conflict in the East of Ukraine. The invasion has triggered Europe's largest refugee crisis and the biggest military conflict in Europe since World War II, with more than 5 million Ukrainians leaving the country and a quarter of the population being internally displaced.
In order to document the enormous destruction and war crimes of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, RTS is launching a new docu project.
24 лютого 2022 року росія здійснила повномасштабне вторгнення в Україну. Це стало ескалацією у війні росії проти України, що розпочалась у 2014 році після подій Революції Гідності, анексії Криму та початку воєнних дій на сході країни. Вторгнення спричинило найбільшу кризу біженців у Європі з часів Другої світової війни, більш ніж 5 мільйонів українців вимушені були залишити країну, а чверть населення набула статусу внутрішньо переміщених осіб.
З метою документальної фіксації наслідків російського вторгнення в Україну, команда RTS розпочала новий документальний проєкт.

🇺🇲 Andriy Halavin, a priest of the Saint Andrew Church in Bucha has become a conductor of a sad pilgrimage to the place of mass graves on the territory of the church; a family of Serhiy and Natalya Vutyanovy who are reunited after being separated by Russian occupation; Serhiy and Vitaliy who are the driver and the mechanic in the Ukrainian Army executing orders daily at the front lines – a collective portrait of the Ukrainians that are living through a common trauma of the Russian invasion of Ukraine but have their own unique story to tell. This story shows the human side of the biggest war in Europe since WWII.

🇺🇦 Андрій Галавін, священник Храму Святого Апостола Андрія Первозванного, що став провідником сумного паломництва на місце ексгумації тіл на території храму в місті Буча, сім'я художників Сергія та Наталі Вутянових, що возз’єднуються після страшної окупації ворогом; Сергій та Віталій, водій і механік БМП Збройних Сил України, які виконують щоденні завдання на передовій — усі вони складають колективний портрет українців, які проживають спільну драму часів воєнного вторгнення росії в Україну, найбільшого з часів Другої світової війни.
